Pressure mats
Pressure mats are basically for the old people when they are alone. While they are out of bed at night or when they are alone. A pressure mat which is basically a pressure sensing pad is placed near the bed which can detect when a person gets out of bed and does not return within a certain time. In the latter case a emergency alarm is raised informing that the person is not back to bed. The device can be disconnected when not reuired and it can be totally programmed as per your requirement.
Floor pressure mats or pads are also used in the security industry to detect a person treading on them. The other uses are for business presentations where when a person treads on a floor mat a multimedia presentation is triggered therefore targeting the presentation accurately or acting as sensors for interactive toys. In industries pressure sensitive safety mat works like a normally “open” switch. When stepped on, the “switch” closes and sends a signal to the controller, which, in turn, sends a stop signal to the guarded machine.
